Fullblood Boers: We've been working to make sure our herd consists of does who are excellent moms, raise their own kids, and have a good proportion of show quality kids. We have many junior does, and will continue to apply the same strict requirements of them as they become productive members of our herd. I travel as part of my job and so it is vital that these does can raise their kids without kidding or bottle--feeding assistance. We had several sets of quads in fall 08 and the great mothering instincts that we've been working on saved us as we were able to graft many of the kids onto other does to share the burden and minimize the number bottle fed.

COMMENTS: Lulu is a massive wildly spotted doe who is out of our doe Caliente and sired by our spotted buck CRCR Aged to Perfection. We also kept her spotted sister WHG Perfect Panache (due to RNSH Valentine's Coaco in March). Her red sister lives at White Forest Boer Goats. She's due in March to RNSH Valentine's Coaco - a multi-champion solid red son of ennobled Stinger. |

Over time, though, she's been roaning starting at her head and it seems to be continuing back (currently she's spotted back to her girth), and is ending up a dappled red roan. We're keeping this girl for our spotted breeding program. She delivered triplet girls her first kidding - two highly spotted and one red. |

She was sold as a kid to Runner Duck Farm, and we are thrilled that she's coming home to White House Goats to join our spotted breeding program. Rosemary delivered gorgeous triplet doelings on 2/18/10 -- one dark red and two leopard spotted. All with correct teats. They were born easily and hopped up within minutes to nurse. I didn't even bother with a kidding pen for this attentive mom and her very healthy newborns. |

She combines the bloodlines of our two foundation colored bucks -- she's a Stinger granddaughter and a Warrior daughter. She'll be kept and bred to Perfection next winter. |

When Ashley became available from Horn Ranch in Texas, I was thrilled to have the chance to bring this wide, muscled, big black girl into my herd. Ashley has passed her ABGA inspections for ennoblement. She has kidded twice for us, with three black and one red kid. |

COMMENTS:Red Rose has passed her inspections for ennoblement. Rose is one of our fall '05 babies by Stinger and out of Scandalous -- a Lancelot daughter. Rose is wide and meaty, with a rear where you can grab a nice handful of muscle. We're sure proud of this girl. Unfortunately we lost Rose a month after kidding on 2/25/09 due to a persistent uterine infection.
