Books I own and have gotten useful information from (click the links to go to amazon.com for more info):

Raising Meat Goats for Profit by Gail Bowman; this is a fabulous book for a person thinking about getting meat goats or just getting started. She covers the different breeds as well as marketing and other important topics. She also makes the point that the right goat for breeder 'A' is not necessarily the right goat for breeder 'B' -- she helps teach how to evaluate your own needs and buy animals and market accordingly.

Meat Goats : Their History, Management and Diseases by Stephanie Mitcham and Allison Mitcham; this less of a light read and more of a reference book than Raising Meat Goats, but has more in depth information and is a good second book for your meat goat library. It has more in depth info on diseases and feeding than 'Raising Meat Goats'.
